The Brockton Symphony Orchestra Youth Concerto Competition recognizes students of exceptional musical talent.
With the Prone Family Foundation, we offer first, second, and third place awards:
Registration begins Monday, September 14, 2026 and extends until all slots are filled, or until the deadline, October 13, 2026.
Open to: All musicians, ages 12-18, in middle or high school as of November 7, 2026. Past first-place winners are not eligible. The competition is open to all musicians, including vocalists!
Repertoire
• Instrumentalists: First movement of a concerto; additional movements optional
• Vocalists: 8-15 minutes of music for voice and orchestra (choice of a few opera or concert arias)
Registration Begins: Monday, Sept. 14, 2026. First come, first served.
Registration Deadline: Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, or until all slots are filled.
Entrance Fee: $35 entrance fee is required to complete your registration
(non-refundable in case of withdrawal or failure to appear at audition)
Audition Date: Saturday, November 7, 2026 from 9:00AM to 4:30PM
