The Brockton Symphony Orchestra Youth Concerto Competition recognizes students of exceptional musical talent.
With the Prone Family Foundation, we offer first, second, and third place awards:
This year's Competition is open to all musicians, including vocalists!
If you have already applied at the above link and are not on the waiting list, you can click here to pay the entrance fee.
Open to: All musicians, ages 12-18, in middle or high school as of November 2, 2024. Past first-place winners are not eligible.
Repertoire
• Instrumentalists: First movement of a concerto; additional movements optional
• Vocalists: 8-15 minutes of music for voice and orchestra (choice of a few opera or concert arias)
Registration Begins: Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2024. First come, first served.
Registration Deadline: Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024, or until all slots are filled.
Entrance Fee: $35 entrance fee is required to complete your registration
(non-refundable in case of withdrawal or failure to appear at audition)
Audition Date: Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 9:00AM to 4:30PM
