Eunha Basu, piano

Eunha Basu, from Bedford, Massachusetts, is a 10th grader at The Winsor School. Eunha began piano lessons at the age of four and has enjoyed performing and competing since the age of six at numerous national and international music festivals and competitions.  She has won top prizes at various national and international piano competitions, including Rosalyn Tureck Bach Competition, PianoTexas International Concerto Competition, Ettlingen International Piano Competition, and Kaufman International Youth Piano Competition, among others. Eunha is a winner of the 2025 & 2026 National YoungArts Competition. Most recently, she was a featured soloist with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra at the Van Cliburn Concert Hall, and with the Nashua Chamber Orchestra.

Besides solo piano performance, Eunha is an avid chamber performer through New England Conservatory’s Chamber Intensive Performance Seminar (CHIPS). In 2025, her trio (Trio Verus) was invited to compete at the prestigious Fischoff National Chamber Competition.

Eunha also gives her time freely to local community events. She is the Boston chapter regional director of The Back to Bach Project, an organization that makes arts education accessible to young children by engaging in interactive performances in the community and mentorship opportunities.  In her spare time, she loves to read a good novel, watch sci-fi or K-drama series, and travel with her family.  Eunha currently studies with Professor HaeSun Paik at the New England Conservatory.  Her past teachers include Mila Filatova and Niva Fried.


Andrew Byun, cello

1st prize winner of the 2024 Windsor International String Competition, Canadian cellist Andrew Byun has been praised for his "electrifyingly energetic, room-commanding combination of musicality, theater, technique, tone," and "a world of thought and sound." (The Strad) Byun has appeared in many venues including Alice Tully Hall, Weill Recital Hall, Jordan Hall, and has most recently been invited to perform at the La Jolla Music Society’s SummerFest, Music Mountain, and the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts at the Chicago Cultural Center. His performances have also been featured on the WFMT, WQXR, and NPR radio stations. This season featured his debut with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and recitals across the UK/Italy and next season will feature his debut album released with Champs Hill Records and a UK tour with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

In 2024, Byun was awarded the Borromeo String Quartet Guest Artist Award, performing alongside the Borromeo String Quartet in Jordan Hall. In 2015, Byun was named a Jack Kent Cooke Artist and was invited to perform at Jordan Hall on NPR’s program "From The Top." In 2015, he won the Gershwin International Music Competition and Boston Trio Competition, performing with the Boston Trio in Jordan Hall.

A passionate chamber musician, Byun has shared the stage with artists such as Erin Keefe, Hagai Shaham, Paul Neubauer, Paul Huang, and members of the Hagen Quartet and has appeared at festivals worldwide including Ravinia, Verbier Festival Academy, Music@Menlo International Program, Gstaad Menuhin Festival, I-M-S Prussia Cove, and L’Académie Musicale de Villecroze. In 2024, he was invited to be an artist-in-residence at Music@Menlo's Winter Residency. He has also studied chamber music closely with Catherine Cho, David Finckel, Roger Tapping, and members of the Juilliard, Brentano, Vermeer, Orion, and Dover Quartets. He was formerly the cellist of Quatuor Caél, a string quartet in residence at The Juilliard School's Honors Chamber Music Program.

A native of South Korea, Byun graduated from Milton Academy, Northwestern University (BA/BM) studying Philosophy/Cello Performance, The Juilliard School (MM), and the New England Conservatory (GD) and has studied with Laurence Lesser, Natasha Brofsky, and Hans Jorgen Jensen.  Today, he is an artist-in-residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel under the mentorship of Gary Hoffman.
